AMP Limited today announced the appointment of two independent Non-executive directors to the AMP Limited Board. Effective 1 January 2024, experienced board and senior executive leaders Kathleen Bailey-Lord and Anna Leibel will join the AMP Limited Board and AMP Bank Board.
The two appointments bring significant skills and experience in digital transformation, technology and financial services to the board, relevant to building AMP’s Banking and Wealth Management businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
AMP also announced Kate McKenzie will step down from her role as a Non-executive director, effective 31 December 2023. Ms McKenzie will conclude her roles on both the AMP Limited and AMP Bank boards after three years of service.
Ms McKenzie, who was appointed in November 2020, will step down to focus on her roles as Chair of NBN Co., interim Chair of Healius Ltd and Non-Executive Director on the Stockland Corporation board.

Kathleen has been appointed to the AMP Limited Board as a non-executive director, effective 1 January 2024, and as a member of the Remuneration Committee. At the same time, Kathleen has been appointed to the AMP Bank Board.
Experience
Kathleen brings significant experience of over 25 years in board and senior executive leadership roles across diverse industry sectors including Financial Services, Technology, Utilities and Education. She has held leadership roles across international, public, private and for-purpose enterprises, with a focus on transformational change and creating value for all stakeholders.
Kathleen is Chair of Janison Education Group and non-executive director of Alinta Energy, Datacom Group Ltd and St Vincents Health Australia (SVHA). She previously served on the boards of Bank of Queensland, Monash College, Melbourne Water Corporation, QBE Insurance (Australia Pacific Operations), Australian Government Solicitor and Trinity College, University of Melbourne.
Kathleen was previously a senior executive at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), PMP Ltd, Phillips Fox Lawyers (now DLA Piper), IBM Australia and New Zealand and Chief Executive Officer at Fordham Group.

Anna has been appointed to the AMP Limited Board as a non-executive director effective 1 January 2024 and as a member of the Risk and Compliance Committee. At the same time, Anna has been appointed to the AMP Bank Board and its Risk and Compliance Committee.
Experience
Anna’s experience spans private and public boards and senior executive leadership positions across a wide spectrum of highly regulated and asset-intensive service sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, infrastructure and healthcare.
Anna currently serves as a non-executive director at Secure Electronic Registries Victoria (SERV) and Alfred Health, and she has previously served on the board of Ambulance Victoria. Anna’s expertise includes guiding organisations on service delivery, managing complex digital assets and achieving productivity growth through digital transformation.
In her executive roles as Chief Delivery and Information Officer and Chief Information Officer at Uni Super, Anna oversaw member operations, technology, and the execution of strategic & compliance initiatives. She has also held senior executive roles with PwC and Telstra.
