AMP has brought together close to 400 advisers from its aligned network at its inaugural national conference Advice LIVE, kicking off with the ASTRUM Awards dinner last night.
Over the next two days AMP’s advice community will share perspectives and knowledge through face-to-face connection and discussion. Advisers will hear from a range of speakers, including Michelle Levy, Lead of the Quality of Advice Review, Neil MacDonald, Chief Executive The Advisers Association, and Alexis George, Chief Executive AMP.
Hosted by industry leaders, workshop sessions will also be conducted for advisers, covering themes relevant to delivering customer value, business enablement, advice delivery and leadership.
The conference reflects AMP’s strong commitment to financial advice as it embeds a new service-based licensee model focused on supporting advisers deliver high-quality advice and run their practices efficiently.
Held for the first time, the yearly ASTRUM Awards recognise and celebrate practices and advisers in the network that have demonstrated customer excellence, business innovation, cultural behaviours and continuous improvement.
Matt Lawler, Director of AMP Advice, said:
“It’s a pivotal time for our profession and the opportunity for our advice community to get together face to face to share our collective knowledge, experience and perspectives will be invaluable.
“It will also be beneficial for the network to hear directly from Michelle Levy as she works to finalise the proposals for the Quality of Advice Review.
“Importantly, through the ASTRUM Awards we’re recognising and celebrating those practices demonstrating excellence and innovation in the development and delivery of advice – congratulations to our ASTRUM award winners and nominees.”
