On Thursday 10 September, the finance industry came together to recognise and celebrate the outstanding women shaping and influencing the industry, at the 2020 Women in Finance Awards.

This is the second year AMP Bank has supported Momentum Media’s Women in Finance Awards as principal partner.

While COVID-19 meant that this year’s awards ceremony was held virtually, attendees still put their best foot forward and dressed up from the comfort of home or office for a live broadcast experience.

Adrienne Smith (pictured above), Director of distribution at AMP Bank, acknowledged the importance of the awards during the challenges posed by COVID-19 in her welcome address.

“As we continue to face into the many challenges of COVID, and indeed as we progress through to recovery, it’s more important than ever to come together to celebrate women making a difference.

These awards are an excellent way to celebrate those that are pushing us forward and challenging us to do better, which is of course important for our clients.

And speaking of our clients, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on how we as an industry have come together to assist clients through the most challenging of circumstances through COVID,” said Adrienne.

Three AMP employees were amongst the finalists; Lara Bourguignon (CEO finalist), Danielle Main (thought leader finalist) and Mya Toohey (business development professional finalist).
