AMP’s Tomorrow Fund is back for the sixth year, offering another $1 million in grants to amazing Australians doing great things in any field.

Individuals of all ages, interests and abilities, working towards goals with community benefit are invited to apply by 27 May for grants of up to $100,000 per person.

The AMP Tomorrow Fund, an AMP Foundation initiative, is open to anyone working in any field of endeavour – from art to athletics, science to social innovation, music to medicine – who is trying to make a positive impact on Australia.

Funds can be used for a range of activities including travel, equipment and research.

To be eligible, applicants must apply at ampstomorrowfund.com.au by 4pm (AEST) on 27 May, explaining what their goal is, its benefit to Australia and what they’ve done to move closer to it.

While the goals people share are extremely diverse, most candidates are either creating something of value for the community – such as an educational program or technological innovation – or inspiring people through their words, music and sporting feats.

What our 2019 grants recipients – known as Tomorrow Makers – will share is a commitment to making Australia a better place.

Five years of Tomorrow Makers

Since 2014, AMP’s Tomorrow Fund has received more than 10,000 applications and distributed $5 million in grants to help Australians make their mark on the community.

They include:

• Hunter Johnson, who fosters emotional intelligence and resilience in young men through The Man Cave with the aim of addressing youth suicide and domestic violence.
• Robyn Leonard, inspired by her late daughter to help researchers access vital brain cancer tissue.
• Justin Chalker, inventor of a polymer made from waste that can clean up oil spills and absorb mercury.
• Adrian DeWitts, creator of an app to help children with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, read.
• Chris Zhong, who is helping charities harness the positive power of blockchain technology.

Head of Sustainability & AMP Foundation Helen Liondos is looking forward to the fund supporting more exceptional individuals in 2019.
