AMP Limited has announced the appointment of David Cullen as its new Group General Counsel effective immediately.
David has been with AMP since 2004, most recently as Group Company Secretary & General Counsel, Governance, and has been acting Group General Counsel since 30 April.
David Cullen brings almost 25 years’ experience in the legal profession, with extensive experience in the areas of M&A, corporate law and corporate governance. Before joining AMP, David worked for law firms Blake Dawson Waldron and Gilbert + Tobin and spent two years with the ASX.

David Cullen holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
David joined AMP in September 2004 as Senior Legal Counsel at AMP Capital. During his time at AMP he has worked full-time on AMP’s merger with AXA APH, led the Group Legal & Governance team before taking on the role of Group Company Secretary & General Counsel, Governance in 2013, which included acting as Company Secretary for AMP Limited.
David is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia
